Building Strong Women is a Michigan-based 501 3C non-profit organization that is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of women in Room and Transitional living. Building Strong Women will offer classes and activities designed to motivate and uplift the women we serve. Additionally,  we will provide mental and spiritual guidance.

House Aide Duties:

-Check on houses randomly throughout the day and night.

-Attend all Operational meeting, and resident meetings.

-Oversee all aspects of the houses.

-Be a member to the residents.

-You are responsible for the houses always cleaned and organized.

-Report to manager on incidents, you are to call the manager, do not have resident

-Report to manager on incidents, you are to call the manager, do not have residents call the manager.

-Cook 3 meals and clean the kitchen.

-Keep the common areas clean and organized.

-Wash clothes and linen bi-weekly.

-Make sure doors are always secure and locked at night.

-Help with community events and make sure resident are participating in events if applicable.

-House aide must help out at all houses when needed.

-Monitor resident curfew, if resident is going to be late, call the HA and HA will notify the manager.

-Make sure lights and other devices are off when residents are not in rooms.

-Monitors sign out/in sheet to know where residents are at any given time.

-Conduct house meetings.

-Keep basements clean and organized.

-Do activities with residents.

-House aides will transport residents when necessary.

-Check appliances daily and keep clean.

-Keep bathrooms stock and inventory supplies.

-Let the office and maintenance know when something is broken in the house.

-New residents must have personal items checked by a house aide before entering the house.

-Make sure that when entering the program, new residents must leave items outside for 24 hours.
