Building Strong Women's Founder

After moving out of state, Charlotte returned to Flint and was determined to give back to the community that she calls home. She began her own non-profit organization to assist under-privileged women. 

Building Strong Women, Inc. is Charlotte’s labor of love. The organization was established in 2007 with the primary purpose of assisting women who are recovering form substance abuse or have found themselves homeless.

Since 2009, BSW has successfully helped more than a thousand women and their children regain independence and dignity through their shelter and outreach programs. 

Charlotte is also the author of Lipstick on Both Sides of My Sheets, her autobiography.
